Stainless steel balustrading is a stylish and long lasting alternative to traditional timber staircases. Our stainless steel balustrading range in Melbourne is all manufactured from high quality 316 and 304 grade stainless steel in satin or mirror finish. We have a large range of balustrading designs however, only our DIY balustrading range can by installed by a home owner. We can arrange for a qualified trades person to install our custom stainless steel balustrading range (please see our showroom for pictures of balustrading designs).
DIY Stainless Steel Balustrading
Currently, our most popular stainless steel balustrading in Melbourne is our DIY stainless steel balustrading. This range has been specially developed so that no gluing or welding is required to install and has been designed to suit most staircases. More information can be seen on our DIY balustrading Melbourne page however, to highlight some of the more important features of our DIY range are as follows:
- We have three different styles of posts available;
- All posts have been upgraded so they are 1.6mm wall thickness with a heavy duty base plate and solid cast saddle;
- We have designed the system so all posts are ready straight from the box for fixing to the staircase;
- The stainless steel posts are available in two lengths, one for the rake and one for the level;
- The saddle (which is the part the handrail fits to) can be adjusted to suit any angle;
- In Melbourne we have recently introduced a new range of DIY balustrading called the closed bar holder range. This range has the special feature of the horizontal bars finishing neatly into the posts instead of requiring bullet ends;
